About the Role : Our client, a leading banking institution, is seeking a
highly seasoned professional to join their credit team as a Senior Credit Approver. This is a strategic, independent contributor role where you will exercise sound credit judgment and provide expert opinions during Credit Committee meetings. The position focuses on commercial credit within the corporate segment, requiring a deep understanding of credit risk assessment and portfolio management.
Key Responsibilities - Act as a senior credit authority in evaluating and approving commercial credit proposals.
- Provide independent, objective judgment on credit decisions in Credit Committee discussions.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to business units and senior stakeholders on credit risk matters.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal credit policies.
- Contribute to the development of robust credit frameworks and risk mitigation strategies.
Ideal Candidate Profile - Extensive experience in credit risk management within banking or financial institutions.
- Prior department head or senior leadership experience in credit or risk functions.
- Strong track record of making high-stakes credit decisions and influencing policy.
- Ability to operate as an independent contributor with minimal supervision.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
