Key Areas of Responsibilities - Prepare and negotiate master agreements, including ISDA Master Agreements (and CSAs), GMRA and GMSLA for the relevant business units of the firm globally (including EQD, FICC, Commodities, Treasury, Asset Management, Securities Financing and Wealth Management).
- Prepare and negotiate IM CSAs and ancillary documentation with counterparties.
- Liaise with clients, business units, credit risk team, operations team and other infrastructure teams throughout the negotiation process.
- Provide legal advice and/or transactional support in relation to OTC derivatives, listed warrants and structured products transactions.
- Assist in the development of templates, policies and procedures.
- Assist in reviewing and drafting other contracts (for example, non-disclosure agreements, brokerage agreements, account opening documents).
- Participate in internal working groups and attend internal meetings on behalf of Legal department.
- Assist in other ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements - Holder of Law degree. Candidates with legal qualification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years' relevant experience is required.
- Good drafting, communication and negotiation skills.
- Willingness and ability to provide quality service to the Business and being able to handle pressure.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English; and ideally, being able to review and draft documents in Chinese.
- Proactive, willing to learn and detail-oriented.
