Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Fund Operations Senior Associate/ Assistant Vice President to ensure the seamless and accurate execution of all middle and back-office functions. The successful candidate will be the cornerstone of operational integrity, focusing on trade lifecycle management, robust reconciliation, strategic vendor oversight, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the complete trade process from execution to settlement for equities, fixed income, and derivatives. Ensure accurate trade capture, confirmation, and resolution of any settlement issues
- Oversee daily NAV calculations, financial reporting, and investor disclosures for funds/discretionary account under HKFRS/IFRS
- Perform daily and periodic reconciliations of cash, holdings, and transactions between internal records, brokers, and custodians. Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly
- Act as the primary point of contact for external partners, including fund administrators, custodians, and auditors
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate operational workflows
- Identify and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency, reduce risk, and support scalability. Lead or contribute to projects such as new fund launches and system implementations
- Ensure operations adhere to internal policies and Hong Kong SFC regulations
- Support audit requests and contribute to the production of accurate management and regulatory reports
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in fund operations, middle office, or fund administration within an asset management firm
- Solid understanding of multi-asset investment products (equities, fixed income) and common fund structures (e.g., Unit Trusts, OFCs)
- Proven track record in managing relationships with fund administrators and custodians
- Strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin is highly advantageous
