Your new company A well-established corporate bank is looking for a Team Head of Trade Finance, Bills Operations to join their team.
Your new role
Perform checking, approval, and investigation of daily Trade Finance Operations activities, including Import L/C issuance and amendments, bill booking and payments, document checking, Bank Guarantees, and Trust Receipts, as well as Export L/C-related products (e.g., Advising, Confirmation, Discounting, Collection).
Conduct L/C document checking and process both Import and Export loans.
Handle Import and Export documentary transactions for Trade Finance, ensuring accurate and timely operational processing.
Drive system automation and lead process improvement initiatives to reduce manual intervention and operational risk; support system implementations and business transformations.
Process Trade Finance transactions in accordance with International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) rules and the Bank's internal policies and procedures.
Respond to customer enquiries related to Trade Finance and Import/Export bills, ensuring prompt and professional communication.
Conduct joint customer visits with Relationship Managers to explain trade service products and solutions as needed.
Ensure all transactions comply with the Bank's internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory guidelines.
Undertake any ad hoc projects or assignments as directed.
What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor's degree or above with a major in Economics, Finance or related disciplines
Substantial 10+ years experience in trade finance operations, possessing relevant qualifications with at least 5 years in management capacity
In-depth trade finance operations experience and commercial/ commodity trade finance knowledge
Strong command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua
