AVP/VP, Equity Settlement, Business Operations
Key Accountabilities
- To manage, monitor and assist for Global Equity Settlement on daily business support. Products to cover include but not limited to Global Equities, Stock borrowing & lending, Stock Option Plan for Listed Companies and Mutual Funds settlement, to ensure processes work properly in accordance to policies and procedures;
- Assist to manage the team to ensure the operations are fulfilled with Company policies;
- Liaise with front office, internal and external clients to follow up any issues related to the team;
- Work with relevant parties of front and/or back office to develop and implement control procedures to meet HO and regulatory requirements;
- Participate in firm-wide projects and to provide advice for new process flow development as subject matter expertise;
- Participate and design testing cases for projects and/or process flow improvement;
- Review new products approval application from business and to provide comments from back office settlement perspective;
- In line with the Company's strategic plan to carry out digital transformation operation, analyze the current daily processing procedure to identify any area/processes that can be streamline/automate by EUCIRPA program or even Al, from the implementation of the process to re-design the daily processing workflow, thereby improving or reducing processing time and human errors, increasing operational efficiency and accuracy,
Skills & Experience
- Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or Business Management related discipline;
- Require to work on public holiday and/or severe weather day;
- 15 years of experience in Global Market stock settlement and nominee services gained with sizable brokerage or investment bank;
- Candidates with over 2 years of full time working experience in Hong Kong or overseas is considered as an advantage;
- Good command of both written and spoken English: Cantonese and Putonghua (preferable);
- Cooperative, independent, responsible and customer oriented with good communication and leadership skills;
- Able to work under high pressure and time constraint due to short settlement cycles / tight deadlines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft excel, word and power point (including Chinese Word Processing). Knowledge in VBA (preferable).
