Fund Accounting - Asset Man, 1-year contract
Your new company
A leading global asset manager is seeking professionals with a Big Four auditing background to join its Fund Accounting team. Candidates with experience in real estate or private equity fund structures are highly preferred.
Your new role
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly financial reports for PE Funds, including basic IFRS adjustments, deferred tax entries, and revaluation of financial instruments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts for Funds and overseas subsidiaries under guidance from senior team members.
- Monitor reporting and tax filing deadlines for the Funds and subsidiaries, ensuring timely submission in coordination with the wider finance team.
- Liaise with local service providers on accounting and administrative matters, escalating issues with managers when necessary.
- Handle accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, and settlement.
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for efficiency in reporting cycles and assisting in implementation.
- Provide support during external audits and tax reviews by preparing schedules, gathering documentation, and responding to auditor queries.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and assignments as required, offering analytical and reporting support to the team.
What you'll need to succeed
- University degree holder in Accounting or equivalent.
- 2+ years of auditing or accounting experience, preferably with exposure to real estate or private equity funds sector.
- Familiarity with IFRS and USGAAP ; experience with consolidation is an advantage.
- Previous big 4 experience with knowledge of auditing and practices and principles.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under deadlines.
- Proactive, team-oriented, and eager to learn in a dynamic investment environment.
