Our client is a leading APAC-based hedge fund with a strong presence across Asia. They are seeking a Legal & Compliance Manager or Director to join their dynamic team. This is a critical role responsible for overseeing all legal and compliance matters within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the firm's compliance framework in line with regulatory requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and handle inspections (SFC experience is a strong advantage).
- Advise on legal and compliance issues related to fund operations, investments, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
- Ensure timely reporting and filings with relevant authorities.
Requirements
- Strong experience in legal and compliance within financial services, preferably hedge funds or asset management.
- Familiarity with APAC regulatory environments; Hong Kong SFC experience is a plus.
- Legal qualification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and provide strategic advice to senior management.
