Cards and CCM SVS Lead. Global Fraud and Credit Services is a first line of defence control function in WPB, with the core purpose of supporting the entire customer fraud & credit journeys and creating sustainable outcomes for the Customer and the Bank. It consists of core sub-functions: Credit Bureau Management; WPB Decision Systems; Underwriting Services; Collections; and Fraud.
Fraud Decision Systems and Transformation is a sub-function within WPB FCS with responsibility for the development, delivery, management and optimisation of the global fraud systems, data and organisation across WPB. The team interfaces heavily between the Information Technology team and the end users to ensure effective outcomes.
This advert is for a Global Fraud SVS Lead to own and manage one the Cards & Customer Contact Management SVS within the Fraud & Credit Services Value Stream, accountable for delivering best in class capabilities whilst protecting the bank.
In this role you will: - Responsible for informing and contributing to the development of the Cards and Customer Contact Management strategy.
- Leading the development and delivery of Fraud Decision Systems relevant Product roadmap for realising benefit from investment in line with Fraud and WPB strategic vision - ensuring fraud products offer a strong value proposition to the bank
- Supporting Product Owners in the global design, development and deployment of the global strategic fraud decision systems capability and platform. Responsible for defining an overarching product vision and conveying to development team. Supporting Global digital/core banking platform alignment and execution.
- Anticipates and manages stakeholder expectations, fostering open and honest communication; Ensuring effective stakeholder engagement and user interaction at all levels leading to informed and well-judged trade-offs and priority decisions to maximise business benefit.
- Responsible for leading the prioritization process within the SVS ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and output is aligned to the new ways of working
- Ensuring effective and efficient allocation of development budget and tasking of scarce and specialist resources.
- Responsible for Fraud Decision Systems Product Management and vendor risk management.
- Helping to identify opportunities for greater use of existing system usage within Fraud and LOB.
- Support management of a team of delivery mangers, product owners and business analysts, nurturing talent and encouraging innovation.
- Act as subject matter expert for global fraud products, providing learning and support to global and regional fraud teams
- Be an agile leader, working to embed best practice across the SVS and wider fraud teams.
- Be aware of related industry trends, distilling this knowledge and sharing with the wider team
To be successful you will: - Excellent understanding of Fraud and the day to day management to prevent and detect Fraud losses.
- Strong understanding of fraud typologies, fraud mitigants and fraud technologies
- Proven experience in large scale business and technology deployments, specifically within the Product Management and Delivery domain
- Proven experience in Product Management and change and delivering value to the business through prioritisation of product features
- Strong appreciation and understanding of Fraud Data including definition, modelling, acquisition and data approvals and data governance requirements.
- Exposure and understanding of Analytical modelling approaches and environments, preferably in the context of decision systems to drive good customer outcomes
- Experience of large-scale IT re-platforming, including exposure to functional and non-functional requirements gathering and business and technology architecture solution design.
- Very strong knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitors etc.
- Proven ability to work across markets whilst maintaining a global perspective
- Demonstration of commerciality with strong financial acumen
- Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders and business sponsors
- Evidence of ability to make key strategic decisions
