Our client, a global financial institution, are actively seeking an experienced IT Security Project Manager to lead and manage critical security projects. You will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT security initiatives aimed at enhancing their security posture. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, compliance, and risk management, to ensure the successful implementation of projects that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
The role:
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT security projects from initiation through to closure, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external vendors to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables that meet business requirements.
- Identify and assess project risks, developing mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project resources effectively, ensuring the right skills are applied where necessary.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project status, milestones, and any changes in scope.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk registers, and progress reports.
- Implement best practices in project management and security, ensuring that all deliverables meet quality standards.
- Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
