Your new company A leading global corporate bank is seeking a Credit Analyst specialising in core lending to join its dynamic team. This role begins on a 1-year renewable contract basis.
Your new role - Assist senior managers in preparing credit applications, primarily for annual reviews, and obtain approvals for facility adjustments, exceptions, covenant breaches, or other risk-related developments.
- Support credit risk analysis and modelling, including financial spreading, rating, loan classification, and default projections.
- Liaise with internal credit committees and risk teams to address queries and follow up on action items related to credit approvals.
- Coordinate documentation processes, ensuring collection of required conditions precedent, covenant monitoring, and compliance with approval terms.
- Maintain accurate credit-risk data, oversee collateral reporting, and monitor loan classifications.
- Escalate any adverse developments or red flags promptly based on credit risk exposure and market conditions.
- Participate in early warning and risk control meetings; monitor and report operational risk incidents.
- Provide input for regulatory reporting requirements.
- Manage credit-related data entry, limit monitoring, and loan classification updates.
What you'll need to succeed - 5+ years of experience in a wholesale banking or corporate client servicing environment, with a strong foundation in credit and risk management.
- Bachelor's degree from a recognised university; preference for majors in Accounting or related disciplines.
- Exposure to risk analysis for sizeable corporates, ideally within sectors such as food, agriculture, or commodity trading, is an advantage.
- A collaborative team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
