My client is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join their team as Head of Internal Control for its Corporate Banking division. This role is focused on strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control frameworks across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and oversee robust internal control policies and procedures for Corporate Banking operations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk management standards.
- Lead initiatives to identify, assess, and mitigate operational and financial risks.
- Partner with senior management to drive a strong control culture and enhance process efficiency.
- Manage internal audits and coordinate with external auditors as required.
- Provide strategic guidance on risk and control matters to support business growth.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of experience in internal control, risk management, or audit within Corporate Banking or related financial services.
- Strong understanding of Hong Kong regulatory environment and international banking standards.
- Strong project management skills
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
