Our client is a life insurance company in Hong Kong undergoing significant transition. They are seeking as seasoned life insurance leader to manage their run-off book as Chief Actuary.
You will manage actuarial functions focussed on capital reporting, valuation, and regulatory reporting to Insurance Authority, investment teams, and potential buyers. This is a critical leadership role during a period of change, requiring strong technical expertise, resilience and people management. You will be lead an existing function in ensuring reporting and other deliverable are done on time and will be the escalation point for the function.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Actuary with at least 15 years actuarial experience within life insurance industry in Hong Kong
- Strong background in finance and actuarial reporting
- Proven ability to lead through organisational change
- Expertise in valuation and capital reporting (no product strategy required)
- Strong communication in English, Cantonese a must with Mandarin a plus
- Excellent internal and external stakeholder management skills
