Role Overview
The Property Underwriter with Energy Focus is responsible for underwriting property risks, with a particular emphasis on energy-related projects and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwriting & Risk Assessment
- Evaluate and underwrite property risks, focusing on energy projects.
- Determine appropriate terms, conditions, and pricing in line with underwriting guidelines.
- Portfolio Management
- Monitor portfolio performance, including rate adequacy, loss ratios, and catastrophe exposure.
- Support renewal strategies and new business development.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure adherence to underwriting authority and company standards.
- Maintain accurate records for audits and reporting.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years in property underwriting; exposure to energy risks is highly preferred.
- Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in Chinese is strong advantage.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a regional team.
