Job Summary
The Finance Director will oversee the entire finance function, serving as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and cross-functional teams. With a strong emphasis on Commercial Finance , business performance monitoring, insightful reporting, and commercial analysis, you will collaborate closely with various business units to identify revenue growth opportunities, cost efficiencies, potential risks, and operational pitfalls. Reporting to the CFO, this role demands a proactive leader who excels in a fast-paced, listed company environment, ensuring financial strategies align with long-term organisational goals and commercial priorities.
Key Responsibilities:

- Direct all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, treasury, tax, and compliance, while building a high-performing finance team
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, commercial analysis, and variance reviews; develop robust financial models to support strategic and commercial decision-making
- Oversee the production of insightful performance dashboards and reports; deliver actionable commercial insights to senior management on KPIs, profitability drivers, and market trends.
- Strategic Business Partnering : Partner closely with business units to uncover revenue growth opportunities, optimise pricing/margins, identify cost-saving initiatives, and flag potential commercial pitfalls through data-driven commercial finance support
- Engage with internal stakeholders (C-suite, department heads) and external partners to align financial and commercial strategies, support M&A/investment activities, and ensure compliance in a listed entity
- Proactively assess financial and commercial risks, implement robust controls, and champion initiatives that enhance business agility and value in competitive markets
- Mentor finance professionals, fostering a culture of commercial acumen, collaboration, and continuous improvement
Requirements:

- 15+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 8 years in senior leadership roles within listed companies or large corporations.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, CFA, or ACCA; Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Proven expertise in commercial finance, business performance analysis, strategic reporting, and partnering with non-finance teams to drive growth and mitigate risks in competitive markets
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of identifying opportunities/risks and influencing business outcomes
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills; ability to translate complex financial/commercial data into strategic recommendations
- Business fluency in English and Cantonese is essential for effective stakeholder engagement
