To cope with our business growth, we are currently seeking a high-calibre professional to join us as Manager in Finance Department.
Job Responsibilities
- To assist Head of Finance in delivering timely and accurate accounting advice, budget and monitoring, financial reporting and control, management reporting, regulatory reporting, tax returns submissions, transactional supports and finance project
- Accounting advisory : Review accounting treatment in relation to new products, new transactions or changes in accounting standards
- Budget and monitoring : Support business units to prepare branch budget for group approval annually; Preparing regular forecast by comparing original budget with actual result; Tracking monthly actual performance against budget and explaining material variance
- Financial reporting and control : Lead monthly book closing and implement the financial controls, including control account review, balance sheet substantiation and nostro reconciliations, as required by Group policies and procedures
- Management reporting : Prepare and submit financial results to business units, management committee and ALCO; ensure that all stakeholders receive timely and accurate management information
- Regulatory reporting : Supervise and ensure timely and accurate preparation of regulatory returns to HKMA / BNM. Liaise with external auditors and regulators to ensure the Branch meets its statutory obligations
- Tax reporting : To collaborate with external tax advisory to prepare and submit tax returns timely to HK Inland Revenue Department, and ensure compliance with tax rules
- Transactional support : Supervise and review transactional support services (eg. vendor payments and fixed assets register maintenance) to ensure accurate and timely execution
- Finance project : Lead and participate in financial reporting / regulatory reporting projects to streamline accounting and reporting process and enhance controls
- To perform ad-hoc tasks assigned by Head of Finance
Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree holder in any discipline, preferably in banking and finance
- Minimum 6-7 years of experience of relevant banking background in an established bank or financial institutions
- Relevant accounting qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRSsâ€) and Tax Rules
- Good oral and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
