About the team

Treasury Operations Section is responsible for settlement operations of Treasury/Market, Derivatives/Collateral, Securities/Investment transactions and monitoring the RTGS Intra-day Liquidity.

The Settlement Administration Team is to handle mainly the customer FX settlement, static data maintenance, monitor the related settlement in RTGS currencies, to prepare some management reports and control reports, and to conduct the TR reporting.

Role requirements

• To handle full set of operation and settlement of FX transactions; and related operational support, administration and reporting.

• To participate in system implementation and projects.

• Supervise subordinates and keep the team operation efficient and effective.

Essential Functions

• Check/approve transactions into back office systems.

• Execute payment and report cash flow of transactions to Treasury Department.

• Perform confirmation operations for related transactions.

• Administrate the settlement related activities e.g. AML screening processing, reconcile account posting for transactions, etc..

• Participate in the Sections business development & operation enhancement projects.

Competencies

• To proactively perform the function without/least instruction from immediate supervisor and handles irregular cases relatively independently.

• To provide guidance/feedback to subordinates where necessary;

• To respect for and commit to high standards of business conduct and integrity in conducting operations/reporting, etc.

Work experience, education and skills

• Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking or related discipline;

• 7 years relevant experience in FX/MM settlement & operations;

• People management experience is essential;

• Practical experience in participating user acceptance test in system implementation;

• Strong interpersonal and communication skill with critical thinking mind-set;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office / PC applications

• Candidates with lesser experience / exposure may be considered for the post of Vice President
