Our client, a leading financial services company in Hong Kong, is seeking an Application Solution Architect to join on a 12-month renewable contract. This role is ideal for someone who have hands on experience in developing Proof of Concepts (POCs), enjoys building scalable web applications, and is curious about the evolving world of Generative AI. You'll be working on end-to-end development of modern web platforms, integrating AI capabilities, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities of the Role:
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and system designs.
- Design end-to-end application solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Review and validate PoC implementations to assess feasibility and performance.
- Provide technical guidance on Full Stack architecture, including front-end, back-end, and integration layers.
- Participate in system architecture discussions and propose scalable, maintainable solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack.
- Document system designs, workflows, and technical decisions.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to technical knowledge sharing within the team.
Requirements of the Role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in full stack development with a strong focus on back-end systems.
- Proven experience in developing POCs to validate technical feasibility and business value.
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and system integration.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, version control (Git), and CI/CD tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese
