Position Description
The night D1 Trader will assume a vital role in our Hong Kong D1 trading team, focusing on the European and US TRS (Total Return Swap) book. The night D1 will be responsible for executing trades, interacting with clients, hedging risks, and analyzing market trends to identify potential trading opportunities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and work during Hong Kong night
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Managing OTC derivative hedging flow for EQDs European and US TRS book.
- Monitoring and managing automated trading program during HK night hours.
- Providing trading services to onshore and global hedge funds, and high net wealth clients. Assisting HK and APAC market night deals.
- Analyzing the inventory and looking for optimizing opportunities.
- Managing different types of risk including market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk.
- Developing systematic tool of transaction analysis. Developing on the systematic hedging/alpha strategy on EMEA/US market.
- Monitoring and analyzing market conditions, news, and events to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Working with traders and supporting teams from other regions on the cross-region opportunities and projects.
Requirements
- 3 years equity trading related experiences
- Master degree holder in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences, or related discipline(s)
- Fluent in English and Chinese language desirable
- Strong work ethic and motivation for client driven trading environment
- Ability to think fast and critically, solve various problems arising from trading, client, risk and operations
- Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in an international requirement
