The Role

We are hiring for two roles, Insurance Senior Business Analyst (Ins SBA) on Agent Training project and Project Manager/PMO roles for a leading insurance organization in Hong Kong. Both demand 5-8 years' experience, exceptional interpersonal skills to handle interactions and feedback, and a proactive attitude in fast-paced insurance tech projects.

Key Responsibilities

For Ins SBA (Agent Training):

  • Conduct detailed business analysis by eliciting requirements from agents and stakeholders through workshops, interviews, and surveys to define needs for ePOS systems, agency operations, and insurance products.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, process flows, and user stories, ensuring alignment with technical feasibility and regulatory compliance in insurance.
  • Design and document system integrations, data mappings, and workflows; perform gap analysis between current and target states to support agent training programs.
  • Lead agent training initiatives, coordinating ePOS rollouts, agency management tools, and product implementations while managing direct communications and resolving issues resiliently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and vendors on system integrations, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and project deliverables to drive successful outcomes.

For Project Manager/PMO:

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, resource allocation, budgets, and risk registers using methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or tailored to insurance projects.
  • Oversee project execution by tracking milestones, managing dependencies, monitoring progress via dashboards, and implementing change control processes to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Lead PMO functions such as standardized reporting, portfolio governance, resource optimization, and quality assurance; utilize tools like MS Project, Jira, or Primavera for planning and tracking.
  • Facilitate high-stakes stakeholder meetings, status updates, and issue resolution, emphasizing proactive attitude and interpersonal skills to build consensus and mitigate conflicts.
  • Manage risks and issues through proactive identification, impact assessment, mitigation strategies, and escalation protocols, while driving team performance in fast-paced insurance environments.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years in insurance/tech projects; ePOS, agency, or product experience ideal.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for agent/stakeholder engagement; resilient under pressure.
  • Proactive attitude, strong communication (English/Cantonese preferred); PM/BA certifications advantageous.
