A leading aalternative investment platform is seeking a high‑caliber professional to join its Private Credit Investment team. The firm manages multi‑strategy portfolios with a strong track record in structured credit, special situations, private lending, and opportunistic financing across Asia.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and evaluate private credit opportunities across Asia, including structured lending, secured and unsecured corporate loans, asset‑backed financing and special‑situation investments.
- Build and maintain deal flow through relationships with corporates, financial sponsors, intermediaries, advisors, and lenders, while contributing to thematic sourcing and market mapping initiatives.
- Conduct comprehensive underwriting and financial analysis, including borrower assessment, cash flow modeling, covenant stress‑testing, downside analysis, and recovery evaluation.
- Lead and support full-cycle deal execution, from term sheet negotiation to closing, working closely with legal counsel and internal teams on loan documentation and structuring.
- Monitor portfolio companies and credit exposures.
- Prepare high‑quality investment memoranda and materials for Investment Committee discussions, summarizing key risks, mitigants, and return drivers.
- Perform ongoing macro, sector, and credit market research to support idea generation, investment themes, and market intelligence for private credit strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Over 5 years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, structured finance, special situations deal experince.
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, especially in cash flow-based lending and downside analysis.
- Ability to work in a lean team with strong ownership and execution discipline.
- Excellent communication and writing skills, especially for preparing IC memos and engaging counterparties.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities; fluency in English and Cantonese/Mandarin.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a collaborative team player with a positive and solutions-oriented mindset.
