My client is a top 3 Insurance in Hong Kong, focusing on Asia delivery.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Product Owner for Strategic Portfolio Management
- Plan and deliver monthly feature releases across application and Power BI, coordinating with solution teams to ensure timely, quality deployment.
- Create, define, prioritise, and refine product backlog, ensuring quality user stories, clear acceptance criteria, and alignment with strategic portfolio and programme outcomes.
- Act as the single point of accountability for portfolio and programme data integrity, ensuring complete and accurate data.
- Partner with business teams to maintain ongoing data quality for all programmes.
- Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly governance cadence and maintain the overall programme plan.
- Prepare reporting content required for governance forums.
- Publish and maintain weekly data completeness and correctness reports for all programmes.
- Work with stakeholders across Transformation, Finance, and Technology to translate management reporting needs into product requirements and reporting solutions.
- Lead the design and solution of recurring management reports, collaborating closely with technical teams on visualisations and insights in Power BI.
- Ensure reporting requests are delivered accurately and within agreed timelines while maintaining sustainable product and data design.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance portfolio transparency, decision support, and insight quality using analytic and user feedback.
- Facilitate strong stakeholder engagement, including senior leaders, through clear communication of product road-map, release status, data constraints, and improvement opportunities.
- Oversee Power BI Developers and Business Analysts supporting the programme.
- Support contracting activities for vendors and required programme resources.
Qualifications
- 10-12 years of relevant experience in the insurance or financial services sector as PO
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with a strong work ethic
- Product ownership certification
- Working experience in both Management Consulting and Insurance Industry
- Experience in Enterprise Portfolio Management tools
- Experience in building Power BI Dashboards for Management Reporting as a PO / BA
