Job Description:
The role supports pre-underwriting and administrative processing for individual health scheme applications and policy changes. It ensures smooth, accurate, and compliant daily operations including data handling, quality checks, and customer-related documentation. The position requires applying underwriting, medical, and operational knowledge to deliver consistent and evidence-based decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-underwriting assessments according to rules and guidelines within agreed turnaround times
- Apply medical and underwriting knowledge to make evidence-based decisions
- Capture data, handle incoming emails, prepare and validate underwriting letters, and file documents
- Prepare weekly audit checking reports for the HK underwriting team
- Conduct random checks and prepare monthly quality checking reports for the HK underwriting team
- Participate in review meetings and support quality assurance activities
- Ensure applications and policy changes are processed smoothly and comply with business rules
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- 1-3 years of experience in medical, underwriting, or claims fields
- Knowledge of medical conditions and medical insurance
- Proficient reading and writing; fluent speaking skills
- Ability to read and understand Chinese documents such as application forms, claim records, and medical documents
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking abilities
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude
- Strong sense of compliance, ethics, and integrity
