We are exclusively partnering with a growing Global Long/Short Equity Hedge Fund to hire an Overnight Trader (based in Hong Kong) covering US market hours. This role sits close to the trading desk and plays a meaningful part in execution, risk monitoring, and market coverage while the core team is offline. The Role
You will be responsible for overnight market coverage and trade execution during the US session, working with an active long/short equity book. The role requires focus, judgment, and the ability to operate independently in real time.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trades and manage orders during US market hours
- Monitor positions, risk, and PnL overnight; flag and escalate issues when required
- Support execution across cash equities and equity swaps
- Handle trade breaks, confirmations, and operational issues as they arise
- Liaise with brokers, operations, and internal stakeholders
- Follow execution and risk playbooks, with increasing autonomy over time
