My client is a top 3 Insurance in Hong Kong. We are seeking an experienced professional to play a pivotal role in the successful rollout of a new investment data management solution. This is your opportunity to shape future-state processes, simplify data flows from fund administrators and internal systems, and deliver tangible value in a dynamic financial services setting-ideally within insurance or asset management
Key Accountabilities
- Analyse current-state processes to uncover gaps, dependencies, and change impacts introduced by the new investment data solution.
- Review and assess existing source data files (from fund administrators and internal systems) to identify opportunities for simplification and standardisation in the future state.
- Gather, validate, and manage reference data essential for configuring the data management service provider.
- Document clear user stories and detailed functional specifications; collaborate intensively with Technology teams throughout development and review cycles.
- Design and document future-state processes and controls, ensuring full alignment with governance and compliance standards.
- Support comprehensive testing: develop functional test cases, validate expected outcomes, and troubleshoot defects during development and integration phases.
- Guide business users through UAT and Parallel Run phases, delivering expert analysis and rapid issue resolution.
- Lead business readiness efforts, including training, targeted communications, and structured transition planning for impacted teams.
Core Requirements
- Strong knowledge of investment management, preferably in an insurance or asset management context.
- 6-8 years of proven experience in business analysis roles, ideally within financial services.
- Experienced in supporting testing activities, including developing functional test cases, validating expected results, and troubleshooting functional defects
- Demonstrated success delivering complex solutions involving multiple stakeholders, internal teams, and external vendors.
- Solid familiarity with investment data terminology, structures, data management best practices, and integration workflows.
- High level of data literacy - ability to understand investment data flows, quality checks, and integration points
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management skills
