A leading bank is hiring a VP for their Management Reporting team
A well-established bank in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Finance team as Vice President. This role plays a critical part in delivering high‑quality management reporting, budgeting and forecasting, and supporting head office reporting requirements. The successful candidate will act as a key finance partner to senior management, providing insightful analysis to support strategic and business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and delivery of monthly management reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear business insights
- Manage the annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes, including coordination with business units and senior stakeholders
- Analyze financial performance, drivers, and variances against budget and forecast, providing actionable commentary
- Prepare and submit head office financial and management reports in accordance with group policies and timelines
- Enhance management reporting frameworks, dashboards, and KPIs to support decision-making
- Liaise closely with internal stakeholders including Finance, Business Units, Risk, and Compliance
- Ensure reporting complies with internal controls, governance standards, and regulatory expectations
- Participate in finance transformation initiatives, system enhancements, and process improvement projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline; CPA / CFA / ACCA preferred
- Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in financial management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting within banking or financial services
- Strong understanding of banking products, financial performance drivers, and balance sheet management
- Experience in head office or group reporting is highly desirable
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present concise insights to senior management
- Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting systems; experience with BI tools is an advantage
- Strong communication skills in English; Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) is an advantage
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities independently
