Key Areas of Responsibilities
  • Provide legal support mainly to Wealth Management teams based in Hong Kong and other regions
  • Drafting and advising on Wealth Management related documentation
  • Proactively identify issues related to the business and provide commercially pragmatic advice to the business team
  • Providing legal support to regional offices and participating in regional projects and initiatives.
  • Advise business teams on various legal, structural, reputational and other transaction-related issues
  • Respond to regulatory initiates, market structure reform and policy work
  • Attend internal meetings on behalf of Legal
  • Work closely with LCD on various matters affecting WM business and certain general matters

Requirements
  • Bachelors degree or above in law
  • Minimum 3 years of PQE relevant experience in an international law firm. Previous in-house experience would be a plus.
  • Familiar with wealth management or private banking business, as well as general commercial matters
  • Common law qualification (other than HK) would be preferred.
  • Strong technical, commercial and communication skills along with a good ability to effectively prioritize competing workloads in a client focused manner.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese
