Service Line Overview We are looking for a self-starter to work closely with the Sector Leader to help manage the sector in Hong Kong. This position represents a Manager role in our Clients & Markets Team, specifically the sector development team for Insurance. The team members facilitate the management and delivery of our insurance sector and account management programme for insurance, focused on supporting key account teams in developing, growing and managing their respective accounts.
The objective is to represent the full range of KPMG services, and develop and maintain profitable business relationships across accounts in the insurance sector. In addition to strong sector knowledge, you will need to learn and understand our clients' issues in this sector and help connect them with our KPMG functional experts to help them.
Key Responsibilities Sector planning and management - Work with the Head of Insurance to drive and increase KPMG's markets in Hong Kong's Insurance ecosystem
- Act as the central point for knowledge and information related to the Insurance sector
- Assist sector leaders in the annual sector planning process. Help to manage and drive the planning process and work together with Senior Partners in the team
- Manage and coordinate Insurance strategic initiatives to achieve set upon targets and goals
- Remain abreast with the latest development within the sector by maintaining regular contact with global and ASPAC Insurance peers
- Support key insurance priority account teams when they go-to-market and prepare for client pitches & presentations and share your sector insights.
- Manage and update the KPMG China Insurance sector portal page containing the key sector credentials and relevant client facing material
- Work closely with the Markets team to help widen sector Go-To-Market Marketing, Events and Publications
- Hold responsibility of the annual Sector Development budget. Manage and review the budget to ensure all costs are kept within the allocated budget for the financial year
- Facilitate the creation and collation of key sector credentials spanning our range of KPMG propositions
- Plan and prepare material for the monthly sector leadership meeting
- Support development of client proposals / pitches and presentation materials
- Facilitate KPMG's Client Care Program annually for the sector, manage outcomes and pass on future action plans to the relevant Account Lead Partners and CSTs.
Relationship/Pipeline Management - Help with the management and integrity of the sector pipeline
- Work with colleagues in Hong Kong, China and wider ASPAC region
- Work with key Client Service Teams (CSTs) to develop and track the client relationship strategy, and plan touch point actions to strengthen relationships
- Develop an understanding of services and solutions to determine which initiatives would be of relevance and importance to key stakeholders / decision makers
- Help identify business opportunities for account teams through understanding of client imperatives and marketing initiatives
- Build an effective internal firmwide network that enables the role holder to bring the most appropriate expertise to bear, on individual clients' needs
- Help to foster the Insurance community in KPMG China by holding regular town halls and the release of sector updates
- Be part of the wider Clients & Markets team by participating at regular meetings and joining team gatherings as well as proactively sharing any insights and knowledge relevant to all
Experience & Background - University graduate with 6+ years' relevant experience
- Background in a professional services/ financial services organisation would be an advantage
- Strong organizational skills, detail-conscious, pro-active, hard-working and resilient
- Self-driven and creative with the ability to take on multiple activities and tasks
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with flexibility to adapt to different working styles of senior stakeholders
- Strong Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and MS office suite is essential
- Proven people and project management skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and strong attention to detail
- Fluent in English, proficiency in Mandarin and Cantonese is desirable
