Our client is a major international bank and a leading arranger of specialized financial products worldwide. This role is ideal for an IT professional who enjoys coordinating system initiatives, working with cross‑functional and regional stakeholders, and ensuring stable day‑to‑day operations of banking applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day‑to‑day user support for Head Office and local banking systems and applications, ensuring smooth system operations and timely issue resolution.
- Coordinate IT system enhancement and maintenance projects with Head Office teams, external vendors, internal IT specialists, business users, and other stakeholders.
- Support and coordinate payment‑related systems and workflows, including transaction processing and downstream system integrations.
- Assist in SWIFT‑related system arrangements (e.g. message format updates, system changes, testing support) and ensure readiness for payments and settlement activities.
- Organize and facilitate project activities, including user coordination, meetings, UAT planning and execution, training, and preparation for system release.
- Conduct feasibility studies and impact analysis for proposed system changes, identifying operational impact, risks, and dependencies.
- Coordinate system readiness to support industry and regulatory initiatives, such as changes initiated by HKMA or HKICL, and participate in annual industry exercises.
- Prepare and maintain project and system documentation, including test plans, user guides, release notes, and operational procedures.
Key Requirements
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in IT project coordination, business application support, or system implementation within a banking or financial services environment.
- Good understanding of banking systems and applications, with exposure to payments processing and SWIFT-related systems considered an advantage.
- Hands-on experience coordinating UAT, system releases, and vendor‑delivered solutions.
- Strong sense of responsibility and self‑motivation, with solid interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders, including Head Office, vendors, and local business users.
