A prominent financial services institution is looking for a skilled Assistant Manager to support the development and execution of process improvements and system enhancements, particularly within the payments sector. This role will work with critical systems such as the FPS and CHATS.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in planning and managing the deployment of new services or upgrades to existing systems.
  • Play a key role in preparing and revising operational procedures and guidelines for payment systems like FPS and CHATS, ensuring that they comply with all necessary operational standards.
  • Contribute to the preparation of formal agreements and legal documentation for strategic initiatives and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to clarify system requirements, outline operational processes, and create backup plans.
  • Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies like the HKMA, financial institutions, and business partners, to ensure all documentation is comprehensive and up to date.
  • Research and evaluate new business opportunities and areas for operational improvement to drive ongoing service enhancement.
  • Assess the viability of new projects from both an operational and strategic standpoint.
  • Develop materials for presentations and conduct briefings across departments, as well as with external partners, to ensure effective communication and project alignment.

Key Requirements:
  • A Bachelors degree in business, finance, information technology, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years of experience within the financial services industry, with a focus on project management, document preparation (procedural or legal), or working with financial systems.
  • Strong skills in business analysis and project coordination, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese (written and spoken), with the ability to communicate fluently in Cantonese and Mandarin.
  • Experience with payments-related projects, product management, or system enhancements is highly beneficial.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines with efficiency.
