Senior Associate - Operations (Corporate Payment Services)

The role is a Contract Senior Associate in Corporate Payment Services Operations, responsible for processing and approving payments, monitoring daily operational controls, and ensuring all transactions meet required cut‑off times. Key duties include handling amendments and cancellations with correspondent banks, verifying FX transaction documents, preparing regulatory reports, system projects and UAT.

We are seeking an experienced Operations professional to join our Corporate Payment Services team on a contract basis. This role is ideal for candidates with strong remittance operations experience and a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and operational risk control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, approve, and execute various types of payments within assigned authorization limits.
  • Support the Team Head with day‑to‑day monitoring and control activities.
  • Conduct investigations and follow up on amendments, cancellations, and tracers with correspondent banks.
  • Verify dealer slips for FX-related transactions.
  • Monitor funding movements and ensure reporting is completed before currency cut‑off times.
  • Oversee daily transaction progress to ensure all processing deadlines are met.
  • Prepare or review regulatory reports for management and relevant authorities in a timely manner.
  • Participate in project initiatives, including system development and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Handle ad hoc operational or project tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Diploma holder with approximately 8 years of hands‑on experience in remittance operations. Candidates with a degree and less experience will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of payment channels, including RMB cross‑border transactions.
  • Solid understanding of AML/CFT standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with sound judgment in transaction flow and risk control.
  • Team‑oriented with good customer service awareness and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to multi‑task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese.
  • Strong PC skills; knowledge of MS Office, VBA, Excel Macros, or Alteryx is an advantage.
