Job Purpose & Objectives

• Leader for a team of 8-9 Corporate Credit analysts covering the Greater China region.

• Credit analysis on corporate banking business proposals incurring in risk for BBVA. Supervise and help prepare credit proposals, and monitor the credit management for Corporate Banking.

• Collaborate and coordinate with Front Office colleagues pursuing new business opportunities, making sure these are aligned with the risk appetite framework of BBVA.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitoring and following up a credit risk from corporate customers portfolio and providing appropriate advice when the risks are identified

• Leading a team of Credit Analysts

• Assessing the credit proposals for bilateral and syndication loans

• Formulating and reviewing credit policies and guidelines, facilitating the implementation of business strategies and achieving the statutory regulations

• Performing financial modelling, risk evaluation and company analysis and conducting industry research

• Working closing with the team head to report regularly the risk monitoring results and credit-related issues

• Performing and developing the strategies of Risk Management

• Ensure the RAR/Price on a portfolio basis is above the minimum threshold established by the Banks directives.

Qualification & Experience

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance or related discipline

• 15 years relevant experience in financial sector, of which at least 10 years in credit risk assessment

• Solid experience in Credit Risk.

• Good knowledge in Financial Risk, loan products and market situation

• Excellent credit analysis, report writing and presentation skills

• Experience in managing a team

Knowledge & Skills

• PC literacy (Microsoft Office including word, excel and powerpoint)

Language

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin)

• Spanish speaking language skills (desirable)
