Job Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the Clearing Team to ensure all clearing-related services are executed efficiently, accurately, and professionally. This includes cheque deposits and clearing, batch cheque issuance, FPS payments, Autopay, and Direct Debit transactions, all in full compliance with internal policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and accepted banking practices.
Monitor and control cheque and FPS activities, ensuring tasks such as Autopay processing are completed with flawless accuracy and fully reconciled.
Prepare reports related to suspicious activities for AML purposes, along with any other required regulatory submissions and banking returns.
Provide cross-functional support to teams handling deposits and account maintenance to enhance overall operational effectiveness and workflow efficiency.
Supervise and enforce controls across various administrative duties within the Group, including system development projects, testing, implementation, and other ad hoc assignments as needed.
Manage, train, and guide subordinates and clerical staff to ensure work is performed in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities also include coordinating training activities such as disaster recovery drills and contingency exercises required by HKICL.
Requirements
Secondary education or above; a Diploma or Degree is preferred.
Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in Clearing or Deposits Operations, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with cheque and FPS processing, and familiarity with HKMA AML requirements for transaction monitoring.
Practical understanding of Hong Kong Clearing House procedures and operational standards.
Proficient in both English and Chinese.
Solid computer skills, particularly in Excel and VB.
