We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a
Business Administration and Operational Management. In this role you will: - Collaborate with the HK COO Manco and HK Business leadership to support organisational design, financial strategy, and operational planning for Hong Kong Operations.
- Oversee and assess cost control initiatives to ensure expenditure remains within approved budgets, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation.
- Deliver analytical insights to improve service performance, cost efficiency, and drive organisational change within HK Operations.
- Monitor and report on the HK Operations workforce plan, including Anaplan updates, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.
- Lead and coordinate business management activities and initiatives within the Hong Kong COO function, encompassing HK Operations.
- Manage internal third-party service relationships across the bank.
- Facilitate the coordination of activities across the function.
- Provide strategic management and execution support to the HK CAO and the wider HK COO management team as required.
- Build and nurture internal partnerships to promote innovation, simplification, and automation.
- Champion process, procedure, and service enhancements to achieve financial, people, and sustainability goals.
- Foster a culture that challenges existing practices, encourages improved working methods, and embraces a forward-thinking approach in line with Group values and strategy.
- Promote a positive work environment founded on respect, integrity, creativity, and collaboration to enhance productivity.
- Effectively manage shifting priorities and complex, time-sensitive tasks, often requiring the simultaneous handling of diverse issues.
- Consistently deliver high-quality, concise outputs suitable for executive and senior management, as well as external stakeholders including regulators, regardless of pressure.
- Proactively identify issues and facilitate structured discussions with key stakeholders.
- Instil a sense of urgency, pace, community, and collaboration across areas managed indirectly within the COO community.
To be successful you will need: - Preferable understanding of GCOO functions, operations, and financials.
- Demonstrated success in enhancing operational efficiency.
- Flexible and adaptable, with proven ability to manage and prioritise multiple competing demands in a dynamic environment.
- Experienced in matrix organisational structures, with strong influencing skills across all levels.
- Able to communicate complex issues clearly and succinctly to support effective decision-making.
- Practical experience in HR and/or Financial/Business Management is beneficial but not essential.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
- Proven experience in delivering significant change initiatives.
- Lateral thinker, skilled at interpreting and resolving complex challenges.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with experience engaging senior executives.
- Strong growth mindset and resilience, embracing change and fostering curiosity, creativity, and connectivity.
- High sense of ownership and commitment to delivering efficient and effective customer service processes.
