With the Bank's strategic shift in its focus towards Wealth, the Premier Wealth Solutions team and the Customer Channel & Commercialization team has been brought together to form an integrated team, to deliver our end-to-end One Wealth vision, with greater integration and by transforming distribution into a Wealth-focused model.

The integrated team enables the Bank to provide world-class product solutions informed by customer and business insights, deliver exceptional customer experiences with seamless omni-channel sales and service journeys, and develop a world-class frontline to transform our distribution to focus on wealth. This will be achieved by transforming our RMs, delivering industry-leading wealth platforms, while ensuring sustainable growth with robust risk controls and oversight.

Financial Planning and Advice leads the delivery of personalized financial guidance and advice for our Retail Wealth segment to differentiate our propositions and drive effective sales at scale. By integrating end-to-end all our products and services from investment to insurance across all channels, we contribute to the overall International Wealth and Personal Banking (IWPB) business revenue growth, increasing wealth penetration and depth of our relationships.

You will define our future advice solutions, lead their delivery and secure the benefit realization over time, focusing on portfolio approach, tailored to Retail Wealth needs. You will ensure that our roadmap, framework, tools, processes, products and commercialization are effective to offer a superior, differentiating and scalable experience. This is achieved through seamless collaboration with the different global and local market teams across products, proposition, distribution, technology, data and risk management.

The core retail wealth markets are the primary focus of this role, covering both investment and insurance. As part of this role, the jobholder is expected to actively monitor market trends and development, contribute to our thought leadership, formulate our portfolio advice strategy as part of the holistic wealth management business in IWPB and create excitement to inspire its adoption.

In this role you will:
  • Market Intelligence: Identify and understand customer needs, market opportunities and threats together with your global and local counterparts, commissioning, analysing and drawing conclusion from research undertaken
  • Advisory Framework: Work closely with our global and country products and advisory teams to upgrade portfolio construction standards, product selection logic, and review cadences aligned to customer goals and risk profiles
  • Products: Work with global and local product and proposition teams to ensure out product shelf meets client needs with a portfolio approach
  • Tooling & Content: Partner with our tech teams to develop portfolio advisory tools covering model portfolios and insurance products. Support the content development of and positioning of collateral for RMs and digital channels
  • Strategy & Planning: Build strategic roadmap, business cases and delivery plan to deliver a sustainably differentiating proposition. Monitor market trends and developments applicable to wealth. Work with our transformation teams to secure plan delivery and benefit realization
  • Suitability & Governance: Ensure advisory processes meet risk, regulatory and suitability requirements globally and across markets. Work closely with our risk teams when upgrading our advisory framework to align with risk appetite of the bank
  • Hybrid Journeys: Design advisory experiences that are simple, fast and powerful through natural interaction to encourage deeper customer intimacy. Integrate portfolio approach to financial planning and product journeys so it can be offered natively to all customer across branch, call centres and self-service channels
  • Commercialization: Work closely with markets to support execution, adoption and measurable impact of portfolio based advisory solutions across Asia/Middle East and beyond. Own MI harvesting and insight distribution including regular reporting and updating to senior management
  • Leadership: Mentor market teams, fostering a culture of customer-centric advisory. Inspire adoption by building excitement across the bank through engaging initiatives

Functional Knowledge
  • Broad understanding of wealth management business, with in-depth knowledge of issues impacting sales and advisory to retail segment and Premier (Mass Affluent) in particular
  • Deep expertise in asset allocation, portfolio risk management and wealth products (investment and insurance)
  • Proven track-record of building customer facing digital wealth solutions from design to adoption at scale across multiple markets
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to influence senior teams and interact at all levels of the organization
