Your new company You will be joining a well-established Korean bank with a restricted banking licence in Hong Kong and a broad network across Asia's key financial markets. The institution integrates corporate and investment banking services, supported by both HKMA-regulated banking activities
Your new role - Oversee credit risk for corporate and FI portfolios, including financial analysis, rating assessment, limit oversight, and portfolio monitoring.
- Manage market risk exposure across treasury and investment activities, including VaR/sensitivity metrics, limit control, and stress testing.
- Enhance internal risk policies, methodologies, and reporting standards aligned with HKMA and internal governance requirements.
- Partner with front office, finance, treasury, operations, and senior management on deal assessment, new product evaluation, and cross-border transactions.
- Support risk committee materials, regulatory reviews, internal audit requests, and follow-up on remediation actions.
- Participate in regional risk initiatives and maintain alignment across Asia-based risk functions.
What you'll need to succeed - 5-10 years of experience in risk management, covering credit and market risk.
- Candidates from Big 4 risk / advisory / financial services consulting backgrounds are welcome.
- Strong technical capability in credit analysis, counterparty assessment, market risk measures (PV01/CS01, VaR), and stress/scenario testing.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and challenge risk-return assumptions.
- Native Korean speaker (essential) with strong English communication skills; Mandarin/Cantonese a plus.
- Open to relocation
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or related fields; FRM/CFA/PRM is advantageous.
