About the Role

Lead the conveyance of front-office commercial intent as clear, executable instructions to the back office, ensuring operational accuracy and efficiency, risk control, and effective coordination across teams

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support employee benefits checklist preparation for Account Executives by translating the sales offers into accurate, complete operational inputs on checklists
  • Continuously review the end-to-end employee benefits checklist process with key stakeholders, driving enhancements on workflow, including defining user requirements and change requests for IT.
  • Lead and review supplementary documents to identify gaps, discrepancies, and missing information and follow up with Intermediaries/Account Executives/ Underwriters/Middle Office
  • Lead and coordinate with cross-functional teams, e.g. Account Executives, Underwriters, Middle Office, Corporate Client Services, etc. to clarify requirements and resolve issues to eliminate ambiguity and inconsistencies
  • Establish and oversee a sign-off governance framework with log, including maintaining appropriate approval records of each checklist from all required parties (e.g. Underwriters & Account Executives)
  • Act as the primary and key go-to-person to address enquiries related to the checklists
  • Oversee coordination with Account Executives and the Middle Office to keep the benefit version of the proposal current, accurately reflecting all agreed commercial and operational changes
  • Ensure the checklist is kept current in the administration system with a detailed change log
  • Inform and align the key changes on checklists to the impacted stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Lead and oversee the work allocation among the team and provide guidance and support to junior team members
  • Lead and support pre-checklist activities e.g. AML pre-screening
  • Support the Middle Office team for BAU operations, particularly during peak seasons and when necessary
  • Support external client communications with Account Executives to clarify and align offer requirements, ensuring accurate input for the checklist completion.
  • Manage and influence internal and external stakeholders to align on operational requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Identify solutions and gather requirements to address operational or system limitations and drive changes needed to enable policy configuration with relevant parties.
  • Lead the ad-hoc projects and other duties as required to support Middle Office objectives.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with over 8 years of relevant experience in Corporate Solutions/Employee Benefits/Operations, or related field
  • Prior experience in Middle Office or Sales Support roles in insurance or financial services industry preferred
  • Prior experience as a people manager in Insurance Operations or Middle Office preferred
  • Operational mindset: Able to translate front-end sales languages into executable operational instructions; Proactively anticipate and address potential blockers to operations caused by incorrect or missing input
  • Sales familiarity: Understand the Employee Benefits products, sales offers and requirements
  • Stakeholder management: Coordinate cross-functionally, resolve conflicts, and follow up proactively with key stakeholders
  • Detail orientation: Quickly identify gaps, discrepancies, and inconsistencies of input across different sources
  • Problem-solving ability: Proactively address challenges and propose solutions
  • Strong communication skills: Able to articulate issues clearly and collaborate across teams
  • Quality-driven: Commit to delivering accurate, complete, and high-quality outputs
  • Time management: Handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
