Key Responsibilities
Client Coverage & Relationship Management
- Develop, manage, and grow relationships with global asset managers and hedge funds operating across Asia, Europe, and the US.
- Serve as a key point of contact for client needs across macro markets, including G10 and EM rates, FX, commodities, futures, and derivatives.
- Expand wallet share through proactive engagement, idea generation, and best‑in‑class service.
Sales & Market Expertise
- Deliver market colour, trade ideas, and macro thematic updates aligned with client strategies.
- Distribute macro research, facilitate client requests, and ensure timely execution of trades.
- Present trade opportunities and structured solutions based on market conditions and client mandates.
Revenue Generation
- Drive commercial performance by identifying new business opportunities and cross‑selling across macro products.
- Own revenue targets and maintain a disciplined approach to pipeline management.
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop client segmentation and product penetration strategies.
Internal Collaboration
- Collaborate with trading desks to deliver pricing, liquidity, and risk management solutions.
- Partner with structuring to create customised macro or cross‑asset solutions for sophisticated clients.
- Coordinate with research to ensure timely delivery of insights to clients.
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Maintain high standards of conduct, ensuring adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and market conduct guidelines.
- Ensure all communications and trade activities follow compliance policies and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
- 5+ years of experience in macro sales, preferably with exposure to hedge funds and global institutional clients.
- Strong understanding of macro products across rates, FX, commodities, derivatives, and cross‑asset strategies.
- Proven track record of revenue generation and relationship building with sophisticated investors.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
Preferred
- Experience in macro sales in a global investment bank or leading sell‑side institution.
- Established network across global hedge funds and asset managers.
- Proficiency in Mandarin or another Asian language (not mandatory, but beneficial).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; advanced degrees a plus.
