Regional TMT Junior Analyst

A global hedge fund with over USD 70 billion in AUM is seeking an APAC TMT Junior Analyst to join its Hong Kong office. The successful candidate will work directly with a Senior Portfolio Manager based in Hong Kong.

The investment book primarily trades across India, Japan, China, and the US, with additional exposure to European consumer sectors. The mandate is not sector, country, or factor neutral. The PM has an agreed framework with the co-founder allowing for beta risk and wider drawdown limits.

Typical investment horizon:

• Long positions: ~1 year
• Short positions: 6~9 months

The team has generated double‑digit returns in their first year of deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Rotate across Internet, Consumer, New Energy, and Semiconductor sectors during the first 6 months.
• After the rotation, take full ownership of a coverage universe of approximately 50-60 stocks.
• Conduct deep fundamental research to support the PM's investment decisions.
• Contribute to long/short investment ideas within the APAC TMT space and broader global coverage as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• No more than 4 years of full‑time experience.
• Strong fundamental investing skill set; this is not a short‑term tactical trading role.
• Ability and interest to perform deep research across multiple sectors and geographies.
• IBD / Equity Research / Investment Analyst background
  

現在運用資産 USD 700億超のグローバルヘッジファンドにて、香港オフィス勤務の APAC TMT ジュニアアナリスト を募集しています。ファンドの投資ブックは、主にインド、日本、中国、米国 を中心に、加えて欧州の消費財セクターをご担当いただきます。また、当運用方針は、セクター・国・ファクターに対して中立である必要はございません。PMは共同創業者との合意のもと、ベータリスクおよび広めのドローダウンリミットを持つ運用方針としています。

投資の想定期間：

ロング: 〜1年

ショート: 6〜9ヶ月

また、同チームは運用開始初年度に 二桁（ダブルディジット）のリターン を達成しています。

主な業務内容：

• 入社後6ヶ月間は、インターネット、消費財、新エネルギー、半導体 の各セクターをローテーションで担当。
• その後、約 50〜60 銘柄 のカバレッジを担当。
• PMの投資判断を支えるためのファンダメンタルリサーチ。
• APAC TMT領域を中心に、ロング／ショートの投資アイデアの創出。
