Our client is an established Asian Banking Group seeking an experienced leader to manage their Remittance Operations function in Hong Kong as Vice President.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee end‑to‑end transaction processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to operational standards.
- Manage daily transaction flows, currency/system cut‑off times, pooling operations, and volume fluctuations.
- Strengthen operational risk management, compliance, and AML/anti‑fraud controls, including investigation of suspicious activities.
- Lead system enhancement and automation initiatives to improve processing capability and STP performance.
- Maintain governance of customer documentation and ensure timely completion of regulatory and financial reporting.
- Coach, develop, and lead the operations team while providing high‑quality support to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent tertiary education preferred.
- Strong experience in remittance operations, with a minimum of 5 years in a supervisory or team‑lead capacity.
- Solid understanding of AML, anti‑terrorism compliance, and operational control requirements.
- Customer‑focused mindset with strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Detail‑oriented, mature, and proactive, with a drive for continuous improvement and innovation.
- Strong analytical ability and sound judgement when handling complex transactions and operational risks.
- Proficiency in payment systems, remittance platforms, and relevant software tools; experience with Alteryx is an advantage.
- Excellent command of English; Mandarin capability is preferred.
