We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate.

Portfolio Structuring & Optimisation serves as the distribution pillar of CCM, concentrating on the proactive management of concentration risk, limit caps, and regulatory capital/RWAs within CIB. Its pivotal role is to unlock further capacity, enabling larger originations aimed at boosting wallet share and optimising returns.

In this role you will:
  • Assist in all secondary distribution activities, including identifying distribution opportunities and managing the complete execution process, encompassing legal reviews, returns analysis, documentation negotiations, and investor/insurer management.
  • Work closely with the GRBs, Product Bankers, CCM and WCR as well as Legal and Compliance teams in managing various NPI, SLS and other distribution leads.
  • Support the execution of new securitisation transactions, organise and participate in working groups, and collaborate with internal stakeholders on projects and transactions.
  • Monitor and analyse new regulations affecting RWA and credit risk mitigation.
  • Manage existing significant risk transfer securitisation transactions, including monitoring portfolio performance, overseeing reference portfolio replenishment, calculating cash flows, and managing Agreed Upon Procedures with third parties.
  • Coordinate RWA, ECL, and other system adjustments with Middle Office, Risk and Finance teams.
  • Support the development of new risk distribution products and various distribution strategy/governance papers.
  • Foster effective working relationships across Regions, Countries, Functions, and Global Businesses.
  • Support management information and reporting requirements related to distribution.


To be successful you will need:
  • Familiarity with credit risk mitigation techniques, including credit insurance, and credit derivatives, securitisations as well as loan products.
  • Background in Banking/Structured Finance, Markets, or Credit Portfolio Management.
  • Understanding of banking regulations, particularly capital treatments and securitisation regulations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with proficiency in complex Excel files and financial model building.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in organisational and project management skills, with a strong capacity for multitasking.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
