About the Role Support the Chief Product Actuary to provide actuarial expertise and advice to management on business plan and initiatives to achieve the company and department performance objectives. Responsible for pricing reviews, development of distribution initiatives, experience monitoring and assumption setting.
Roles and Responsibilities: - Perform pricing reviews, distribution initiative assessments and other duties/special projects related to product development. (35%)
- Represent actuarial in discussions and meetings with management, proposition and marketing, sales channels to provide support and advice on product / distribution issues. (20%)
- Review experience studies / reports and propose best estimate assumptions timely. Report if any adverse trend and abnormality is observed. (25%)
- Support manager in co-ordination of task assignment and resources for the team. (10%)
- Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by manager in order to meet business or other requirements. (10%)
- Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements.
Minimum Job Requirements: - University / College graduate plus at least 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Attain Actuarial Fellowship
- Proficient in MS Office and data analysis techniques, knowledge of actuarial software will be an advantage
- Experience in project and staff management
- Proficient command of spoken and written English and Chinese
