Your new company Our client, a leading financial services and insurance group, is undertaking a major Actuarial Transformation initiative, including a dual-platform migration of its actuarial modelling solution and broader actuarial and operations change programmes. To strengthen internal delivery capability and improve cost control and oversight, the organisation is expanding its in-house project management team and seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead critical workstreams.
Your new role Project Delivery & Governance
Drive end-to-end delivery of complex actuarial and modelling workstreams, ensuring high-quality execution within agreed timelines and scope.
Establish robust project governance including RAID management, steering committee reporting, resource planning, and milestone tracking.
Maintain hands-on oversight of project progress, issues, interdependencies, and vendor deliverables.
Stakeholder Engagement & Facilitation
Lead discussions across actuarial, finance, technology, and vendor teams.
Facilitate workshops, resolve conflicts, and ensure decisions are clearly documented and acted upon.
Demonstrate a strong backbone-challenging blockers and pushing for outcomes when required.
Actuarial & Modelling Platform Transformation
Work closely with actuarial SMEs to understand modelling workflows and platform needs.
Support delivery of the Pathwise (Aon) vs FIS Prophet proof-of-concept and subsequent rollout activities.
Coordinate testing, data validation, model migration activities, and future operating model discussions.
Operational Change & Future State Planning
Contribute to defining and implementing the future operating model across actuarial processes.
Ensure documentation, approval flows, and governance structures are properly established and followed.
Support future actuarial and operational transformation projects as they arise.
What you'll need to succeed Project Management Excellence
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi-workstream projects with strong ownership and accountability.
- Exceptional governance discipline-structured planning, RAID tracking, meeting facilitation, and documentation.
Stakeholder Management
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to challenge, negotiate, and drive alignment.
- Comfortable operating in high-pressure environments with multiple senior stakeholders.
Domain Knowledge
- Experience in actuarial, finance, insurance transformation, or modelling environments.
- Knowledge of actuarial modelling systems such as Pathwise or FIS Prophet is highly advantageous.
Personal Attributes
- A fast learner capable of working hands-on in technical group settings.
- Clear, concise communicator in English; Cantonese is an advantage but not required.
- Practical operator-not overly consulting-style"-with a direct, delivery-focused working approach.
