A leading Asian investment management firm is seeking a VP / AVP level professional to join its regional distribution team in Hong Kong. This role focuses on maintaining and expanding relationships with institutional and intermediary clients across Europe & Hong Kong.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main contact for European institutional and Hong Kong based clients, delivering exceptional service and strengthening long-term partnerships.
  • Drive business growth by promoting both SICAV mutual funds and ETFs , with an emphasis on cross-selling opportunities and product synergy.
  • Generate and execute business strategies across targeted client segments, including banks, private wealth managers, brokers, financial advisers, and family offices.
  • Lead the client onboarding process, coordinating with compliance, operations, and marketing to implement distribution agreements and related arrangements.
  • Represent the firm in client meetings and roadshows, confidently discussing fund performance, investment outlooks, and commercial discussions in English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
  • Work closely with internal teams to deliver timely and tailored client reporting, RFP responses, and due diligence materials.
  • Ensure full compliance with AML, KYC, and DDQ standards while maintaining data accuracy within Salesforce and internal systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
  • 8–10+ years of experience in asset management sales, distribution, or client servicing.
  • Demonstrated success in selling both ETFs and mutual fund (SICAV) strategies to institutional and intermediary clients.
  • Strong relationship management skills combined with a consultative, commercially focused approach.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales goals in a regional or international context.
  • Fluency in English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable.
  • Flexible to consider candidates currently at the AVP or VP level, depending on experience and capability.
