Our client is a sovereign-backed private equity house with strong institutional investor base and excellent investment track record in TMT, Smart Manufacturing and Next-Gen AI Infrastructure sectors in Greater China region. They are expanding the business into Hong Kong and hiring a Compliance Manager to join the fund.

Reporting to the Managing Partner, you will be the key hands-on operator of the compliance function, responsible for developing and implementing firm-wide compliance programs to ensure adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory obligations. You will work closely with investment, legal, finance and operations team to proactively strengthen the compliance framework. You will act as the go-to person on all compliance matters, advise executive management, and handle communications with local regulators such as SFC. You will also be responsible for reviewing marketing materials, ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering procedures, monitoring personal account dealings, and fostering a strong compliance-aware culture across the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting, Law, Finance or related disciplines. Professional qualification in Accounting, Audit or Law is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in regulatory compliance, inspections and/or policy development gained from working for an investment bank, a financial institution, a regulatory authority or a law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of SFC rules and regulations, experience with FRR and other statutory reporting requirements is a PLUS.
  • Strong sense of job ownership, ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese; proficiency in Mandarin is a MUST.
