Responsible for defining and driving the data product roadmap for Private Banking Hong Kong, ensuring high-quality, trusted data and AI capabilities that enable relationship managers, investment counsellors and digital channels to drive business growth, improve customer & employee experience, and strengthen risk management.
Responsibility
Product ownership and delivery
• Define and own the PB HK data product roadmap, aligned to business strategy and priorities
• Translate priorities into clear data initiatives, requirements and measurable outcomes.
• Partner with data analysts/scientists and regional teams to deliver data and AI products, leveraging regional solutions while addressing HK-specific regulatory and business needs.
• Identify new HK-specific data and AI opportunities (e.g. next-best-conversion, RM productivity insights) and drive them from concept to delivery and adoption.
• Run regular prioritization with Wealth COO, and business users to ensure delivery focuses on highest-value HK use-cases.
Data quality, governance and control
• Work with Group Data Stewards, HK Technology, Risk, Compliance and Legal to ensure HK data and AI products comply with local regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Ensure data quality, maintain lineage, and resolve data issues.
Business engagement and adoption
• Manage HK data and AI product prioritisation and benefit realisation, partnering closely with relevant stakeholders in PB HK.
• Drive frontline adoption in PB HK through engagement, training and communications.
• Define and track adoption and benefit metrics.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Data / Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• 8+ years' experience in wealth management / consumer banking, digital product management, data/analytics or business management, preferably with strong exposure to PB business.
• Proven track record of leading cross-functional initiatives that implement digital or data-driven capabilities for Wealth management or Retail banking.
• Solid understanding of wealth management products and end-to-end FO and advisory journeys.
• Good knowledge of data analytics and AI tools and how they can practically improve productivity and customer outcomes.
• Demonstrated Product Owner capabilities with backlog management, user story definition, acceptance criteria, agile ways of working and partnering with regional business and tech squads.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to manage trade-offs and influence across functions and markets.
• Analytical and outcome-oriented, able to interpret data, challenge constructively and drive decisions that maximize value for PB HK.
• Highly self-motivated with strong sense of ownership and servicing mindset
• Ability to work well with teams & stakeholders and manage multiple projects with competing priorities
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), both verbal and written, is required
