Overview:
Our client, a leading financial institution in the APAC region, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their transformation team.
Responsibilities: - Lead the transformation of key operational pillars, including Client Onboarding & KYC, Trade Flow (Order Management & Execution), and Product Governance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and implement process enhancements.
- Convert operational challenges and regulatory requirements into streamlined, automated workflows.
- Redesign and digitalize processes to enable Straight-Through Processing (STP), decrease manual intervention, and enhance controls.
- Embed controls by design to ensure compliance with HKMA/SFC regulations.
- Formulate an automation strategy and utilize vendor platforms (KYC tools, OMS, suitability systems) to shape the future technology landscape.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs and control metrics to evaluate success and resilience.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 8–10 years of experience in Wealth Management, with a focus on the following areas:
- Middle Office or Operations
- Transformation roles concentrated on operations
- Operational Risk & Control functions
- Extensive understanding of end-to-end processes regarding KYC, trade support, suitability, and product governance.
- Knowledge of complex wealth products
- Solid understanding of HKMA and SFC regulations is essential; familiarity with MAS rules is a notable advantage.
- Experience in control design, and the implementation of wealth management platforms (CRM, KYC, OMS).
- Proficient in computer skills, particularly MS Word and Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Chinese, and Putonghua.
