Equity Platform Support Engineer (Contract)

Main Responsibilities

• • Trading and clients service quality guardian: Closely engage with FO Trading in Asia to understand BAU workflow and potential future needs in terms of features and SLAs
  • Production Control Tower: Ensure proper instrumentation is in place, easy to access & understand for both day to day platform stability/performance monitoring and ad hoc prospective analysis
  • Technical advisor: Conduct testing and ad hoc analysis on the platform to understand recuring or potentially coming bottlenecks & shortfalls. Formalize proposal to address identified issues by refactoring algorithm, redesigning building blocks or resizing infrastructure
  • DevOps engineer: Leverage inner-sourcing framework in place to collaboratively or self-implement suggested changes, when agreed and possible
  • Agility enabler: Actively contribute to the safety and efficiency of the CICD pipeline as a critical factor of production stability and live issue remediation efficiency
  • Strategic thinker: Work closely with Asia and global delivery team to continuously foster technical and organizational excellence
  • Technology evangelist: Integrate AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot in every aspect of your daily work to enhance development speed, business safety and deliveries quality

Functional Experience

• Good financial market, Equity business and associated product knowledge
• Good understanding of Equity front-to-back workflows
• Excellent written and oral communication. Able to create or maintain detailed and structured documentation
• Ability to articulate technical concepts succinctly to a non-technical audience
• English required

Technical experience

• C# experience
• Support of systems running on Windows Server environment (Windows services; IIS; Scheduled Tasks)
• Support of systems running on a UNIX environment; general UNIX navigation; ability to read and understand UNIX shell / Perl scripts
• Support of SQL DB based systems. Good SQL query skills; ability to read Stored Procedures; understanding of basic Query Optimisation
• Experience supporting large batch systems (typically Control M)
• Familiarity with monitoring systems like ITRS Geneos
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is advantageous

Product experience

• Basic instrument knowledge: Stocks, Indices, Option, Future, Swap
• P&L, VaR concepts understanding
