Our client is seeking a Platforms Product Specialist in the Asia‑Pacific region to support a global trading and investment technology platform. This role primarily involves providing coverage and support to buy‑side users, delivering training on platform functionality, and collaborating with Product Management on new feature requirements. The Product Specialist will also assist in the sales process through workflow analysis and product demonstrations for prospective clients.
A strong aptitude for requirements analysis and excellent client‑facing skills are essential. Additional beneficial experience includes prior work with EMS/OMS platforms, familiarity with Asian equity markets, FIX protocol knowledge, software development exposure, clearing and settlement workflows, and algorithmic trading concepts.
Key Responsibilities - Proactively train and support clients on EMS‑related initiatives
- Build strong relationships with individual platform users
- Educate users on product features, enhancements, and best practices
- Communicate client requests and feedback to the product development team
- Maintain ongoing engagement with users to understand their evolving needs
- Translate user requirements into detailed technical specifications for Product Management
- Collaborate effectively with a global product team
- Provide product expertise during sales calls, workflow discussions, and demos
THE CANDIDATE - Fluency in Japanese and English
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Asian cash equities, particularly trading workflows
- Strong understanding of EMS/OMS products
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving skills; coding or database skills are a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; client‑facing experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with software development processes (e.g., iteration planning, UAT, QA testing)
- Solid grounding in electronic trading concepts, including:
- Connectivity and order routing (e.g., FIX protocol)
- Clearing and settlement workflows
- Algorithmic trading and DMA
- OMS & EMS systems
- Alternative trading venues and smart order routing
