About the role
We are hiring for a prominent global financial institution for a Finance Director position. You will be assisting the APAC Head of Finance with managing a team and oversee the finance operations. The ideal candidate would come have solid financial reporting and/or FP&A experience from the Financial Services, ideally the buy side.
Summary of the role and key responsibilities
- Manage financial reporting, FP&A, and other financial operations and enhance the financial processes as needed.
- Assist with special projects as assigned by upper management.
- Work with business teams to promote changes and initiatives.
- Manage budget, perform financial data analysis, assess risks, recognize trends
- Create and update financial models for decision-making and scenario planning.
- Contribute to the KPI process and conduct year-end compensation assessments.
- Collaborate with group finance teams on long-term financial forecasts, system implementations, and process enhancements.
- Foster a continuous improvement culture, support team development, and encourage collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years experience in finance, with a strong background in either sell side or buy side
- Experience in a Finance Director position with team management experience is a strong advantage
- Proven track record of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
- Experience in managing financial operations and leading finance teams.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
