We are hiring for a prominent global financial institution for a Finance Director position. You will be assisting the APAC Head of Finance with managing a team and oversee the finance operations. The ideal candidate would come have solid financial reporting and/or FP&A experience from the Financial Services, ideally the buy side.

Summary of the role and key responsibilities

  • Manage financial reporting, FP&A, and other financial operations and enhance the financial processes as needed.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by upper management.
  • Work with business teams to promote changes and initiatives.
  • Manage budget, perform financial data analysis, assess risks, recognize trends
  • Create and update financial models for decision-making and scenario planning.
  • Contribute to the KPI process and conduct year-end compensation assessments.
  • Collaborate with group finance teams on long-term financial forecasts, system implementations, and process enhancements.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture, support team development, and encourage collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 15+ years experience in finance, with a strong background in either sell side or buy side
  • Experience in a Finance Director position with team management experience is a strong advantage
  • Proven track record of financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and financial software.
  • Experience in managing financial operations and leading finance teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
