Your new role - Take end-to-end ownership of oversight controls for outsourced Middle Office functions, with a strong focus on corporate actions processing, cash management, and position reconciliation. Ensure accurate and timely execution across the full trade life cycle, covering equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives, and collateral workflows
- Act as the primary BAU contact for Middle Office matters, managing inquiries from portfolio managers, traders, Compliance, brokers, custodians, and our service provider with professionalism and urgency
- Lead issue identification, escalation, and resolution for BAU incidents, performing root-cause analysis and driving corrective and preventive actions, especially in cash breaks, reconciliation discrepancies, and corporate action events
- Initiate and support process improvement opportunities-proposing automation, strengthening controls, and enhancing efficiency across corporate actions, cash, and reconciliation processes
- Oversee and constructively challenge the Middle Office service provider to ensure consistent delivery quality, data accuracy, and adherence to service standards, particularly in high-risk activities such as income/entitlement reconciliation and cash movement validation
What you'll need to succeed - A minimum of five years of Middle Office experience within a buy-side asset management environment is essential
- Strong exposure to corporate actions, cash operations, reconciliation, and trade life cycle controls
- Solid understanding of a broad range of public market instruments-including equities, fixed income, FX, and derivatives-as well as collateral management and front-to-back investment operations workflows
- Familiarity with APAC market settlement standards and operational nuances; knowledge of regulatory requirements impacting asset managers is an advantage
